A couple of days ago I knocked my knee on the loader bucket of the tractor. Not hard enough to even use any " technical terms " Yesterday it was a little swollen and hurt. So I took it easy and only did a couple of shorter walks with Finnigan. This morning when I got up at 0700 it was stolen pretty good and hurts like heck when I try to move it. i am sure that someone swapped them out over night while I was sleeping as the thing does not even look like my knee right now when I compare it to the other one. No dog walking today ... or anything else that means moving around a lot ...... I'll just have to spend more time on here mow posting bs and generally wind folks up.

Need to get some medical advice. Might just need a little love and care for a few days. I know WHY pay those big bucks for something so simple.JMO

Get it looked at.Tore my meniscus in my right knee, never hit it or did anything to cause it. Doctor said it happens at times without doing anything out of the ordinary to it.
Took 2 years and a knee brace, before the pain went away and it seems to have finally healed.
Go get it checked out and save yourself some pain and wondering.

Just a simple bump bruise should not be all inflamed the way you describe it now. Having had my share of knee issues, it sounds like you twisted something or strained a tendon when you bumped it; Could have torn cartilage also. For it to flare up the way you describe, it sure sounds like more than a simple bruise. Ice is your friend to work on the swelling but you probably do need to get it looked at to be on the safe side.

Not getting it checked out could lead to eventually needing a knee replacement. I've never had one, but some of my friends have. From what I've seen, they aren't any fun, take a long time to recover from. Might be a simple fix getting it looked at now.

you should probably go see the DR

a bump even not to serious of one can start a blood clot that can make it swell

this is how my grandpa had his hear attack , bumped his leg on the snowmobile trailer was fine for the day that night it swelled up and something came loose and he was getting a ride in the helo to Duluth for his heart.

those of us with our genetic origins around the north sea tend to run a little thick any way.

I was gonna tell you to sit back, put some ice on it and drink some beer but I had a buddy do something pretty similar. Couple days latter the blood clot came loose and killed him.

Hard to believe, but I screwed myself up reading T-man. Had an elbow blow up from too much pressure I guess, after searching it. It's been over 2 weeks for it to reabsorb the fluid.
Kind of had me concerned, because a neighbor died from an elbow infection recently.

I caught my toe under a stick, while deer hunting.Landed on a rock on my knee. That was 2 weeks ago. Starting to feel better now. My nurse daughter, said keep flexing it, don't let it seize up. Hurt, quite a bit, but did what I was told. Nurse Netty , knows best. Old243

I have so much stuff to do right now. This is kind of inconvenient to put it lightly so as not to get banned from here

Hiding our humane dispatches doesn't keep the Antis from showing their own gruesome ones. In this 1 sided story, who will the public believe, then?
