a few of the ladies in my family are getting new parring knives this year green river blanks , cherry from a tree I cut a few years ago , a palm swell design with the scales hoping it feels good in the older arthritic hand the finish is a stain to redden up the cherry a bit then oil this is the first one done

Nice job, Pete. Even nicer to give something made with love. Charlie

my son has been helping with these also so it is good experience for him as well.
I am thinking I will probably make up some Kydex travel covers for them also I am going to have to ship some.
it is really nice to have a good way to transport a sharp knife ,it may be a while before any are in the church kitchen again but it seems one thing churches have in common is dull knives in the kitchen.
one of my pet peeves is a dull knife , I am no snob but carbon steel and sharp are my preference. I often wore my belt knife to church if I was going to be in the kitchen so that I would have a good knife to work with.

Excellent looking scales. I'm not arthritic, but I very much appreciate a handle large enough to hold on to. I always wondered who ever decided small knives should have small handles.
Boco couldn't catch a cold. But if he did, it would be Top Lot.
