Great tractors. I have a 1950 Farmall Cub that still purrs like a kitten. Easy to work on and parts are readily available.

Same year as my 424 ih. I use the same tractor on the same ground my great grandfather did. It's still going strong.

Nice tractor

Roy,
Admit it. You're a snow freak. You have been since mom told you, "Roy get up and help shovel. It's really snowing outside!"

I've been in the seasonal property maintenance business for about 15 years, it started off as a side gig while I was working and a foundation for some income in retirement. If there's 2 things I've found that folks don't see the value in and don't like to pay what it's worth, it's snow removal and firewood. As for snow, I don't think people like to have to pay to have something managed that they don't like and which is eventually going to melt away.

I grew up on a 50 Farmall Cub, It took care of the big gardens that supplied the grandparents summer produce stand. Dad bought it in the spring of 1950 for $995.00 delivered. Single bottom plow, 2 section disc, cultivator and a spring tooth drag. Those attachments were another $250.00. I just recently sold it to a friend/ tractor collector. He has it about 75% done in a complete showroom restoration. I have 4 pictures generations so far on the seat of the same tractor. I started it one more time with the hand crank the day my friend drove it on the trailer.

I live at the dead end of a 1/2 mile gravel road. I have a S-10 with a plow. The road surface is about 40 foot wide. I always plowed the width. After several years of not one thank you. I now plow a 8 foot wide path to the main road. The neighbors can shovel the 20 foot of banked up snow to that path. Till the county truck comes 3 days later.

I spent many hours on that same tractor when I was a young man working on a dairy farm. My favorite tractor of all time.

I like open cab tractors. I am on and off the thing so many times when I am working that a cab is just a bother to me. Even with the AC I had in the big Massey F . If I had kept it I would have taken the cab off the thing.

I understand that. One thing I want a cab for is you can get them with a buddy seat. That's much safer than sitting on the fender like when we rode along when we were kids.
