This morning I was taking a little bit of time to reflect on my life and be thankful for all the opportunities I have had. During that time I realized how this site and all of its members have been so influential.
Between a Stanley Hawbaker book and this website, this has been that basis of how I learned to trap. Here is what that progress looked like:

On this site, I also met Mark Wagner, now a great friend of mine. He offered to take me trapping up in Southeast Alaska. Something that I thought was just going to be a great trapping vacation turned into an incredible open door to endless possibilities. Six years later I am back on the same island Mark took me trapping on working at the middle school as an aid for the special needs kids. From the people I have met with Mark I have also got to spend several summers working as a deck hand gillnetting out in Bristol Bay and here in Southeast.

Next on the list of things this site has done for me is I was on the lookout for a new job in 2018. Nate Dawg got me hooked up with some people he knew in the oil field. It was hard work, much like the farm I grew up working on but it was a very different kind of hard work. Much much dirtier haha.

Lastly some of you followed along, supported, and prayed for me while I was overseas last year doing mission work. That really meant a lot to me and I hope you know how much I appreciated it.
