Jim Because he told the allies that they have to start pulling their own weight and that the free be tap is being turned down a couple of notches. i Germany for example we have a bunch of US air force bases with a lot of fancy new planes on them.So we still flew F4 Phantoms as the backbone of our own air defense then had a few tornados and left over miss from the east germany part that we got back thrown in. They may as well have given our pilots a Cigar, a stick of dynamite and a moped for all the damage they could inflict with those old frying crates. Germany was not a poor country then and is not now. But why put money into a defense budget when it is covered by the uS for free. No that did not go down to well. And the poor freeloaders are now all bent out of shape.... what a shame. James put your dunce cap back on and sit at the back of the class and listen ... even you may learn something.

While I will not fault the bundeswehr soldaten that I trained with for lack of spirit or love of country I will say that it surprised me the age of their equipment and technology in the last years of the cold war. Admittedly we still used 1945 issued 1911A1s and Vietnam Era M16A1s we were on a fast track to superiority with the M1 and M1A1 Abrams and M2 and M3 Bradley's on the ground and a slew of upgrades to existing and new aircraft such as the F117 stealth and Apache and Blackhawk helicopters. However, we all knew the real strength of the entire alliance was being carried by the US.

God could use the Democrats as an instrument of judgement against this country. None of us are innocent and we all get better than we deserve but there is evil in the world and evildoers. It just so happens that the Democrat party platform is in opposition to most everything the Bible teaches.
