I bought them before Schrade sold the company and started production in China. My understanding is that they are still decent knives. One difference I don't like is that the model I use, the 77OT Improved Muskrat, no longer comes with carbon steel blades. It's only available on stainless. But for that price it would be hard to go wrong. Eh...wot?
