I saw an article this morning that the FDNY took a survey and "less than half" of the firefighter/EMTs and paramedics said they would take the covid vaccine when it becomes available to them. The article didn't say how much less than half, but because they didn't get any more specific, I'm guessing it might have been far less than half.

So, there you go. More than half of the front-line, pre-hospital medical care providers in NYC consider the relatively low risk associated with the vaccine to be greater than the risks associated with catching a case of the covids. I wonder why they aren't more afraid of the disease considering all the first-hand experience they've had with the disease over the past nine months?

The article suggested that perhaps the EMT/Medics would refuse the vaccine so that other more-deserving people could have the shots instead of them. That's rich! I think I might use that. I'll tell everyone I don't want the vaccine yet because I want to give my shot to those who need it more than I do.

Unless you have the reasoning for the ones who wouldn't get the vaccine, your post means nothing. Information has to be given in context. Perhaps they won't take it until it has been proven to be safe under their individual standards? I think alot of people are like that.

We have a 99.98% survival rate WITHOUT a "vaccine". (15,000,000+ US cases, 284,000 deaths)

The only good I see in it, really, is that anyone who has faith in the vaccine, once they have taken it, have no reason to try to control others' actions. They are 'protected'. We can no longer pass the virus to them. At the worst, it will be a 'mild' version (they say). So those who want to can take it, and the rest of us can choose to not, and everyone moves on to live unmasked, employed, normal lives again.
