I'm down & out with trapping right now with my 4 bulging disc's and this super painful sciatic nerve issue. But I took my best friend to the cream of all my trapping property's today to have him set the property. There was literally so much sign everywhere that I really think he's going to feel like it's Christmas morning on the trap line tomorrow. He set 28 coyote & bobcats traps & then 14 beaver/otter traps. I will try and post pictures tomorrow.
I was able to just ride around on my ATV today and help point out some great locations to him but that was about all I could do. I'm paying for it tonight lots of pain, going to the Dr's. tomorrow to get some steroid shot to try and help with some of the pain I'm having.
He was like a kid in a candy store today being able to trap on new trapping land, I got a kick out of him being almost overwhelmed with it all.

We all need to think of the day to pass on our ground to someone, relative friend or other person who will manage the ground like we did. Its hard to find someone to take over a large trapground nowadays.

Its hard to find someone to take over a large trapground nowadays. If you stay off of politics you say things that are worth listening to. Congrats to you bigbuck and sorry to hear about your ailments. It sounds like you had as much fun as I do taking kids out hunting. It sure is great to listen to their stories about what they saw or the deer they got. I enjoy harvesting a deer but it is way better when you can put a kid in front of one of them. I am pretty new to trapping and I wish I had someone like you to put me and my boy on a line like that! You gonna help him with all that skinning? Lol.

Well he had a few dig outs today but he did catch this nice female bobcat today. He caught it with a flat set. He's putting in more traps today.

Ok here's today catches on the trapping line. Caught a nice male coyote in a old dried up pond with a sandy bottom out in the middle of a field. Also 3 coons a 44 lb. beaver. The 1 coon is small but was not in good shape so he dispatched him or else he would have released him. There's a front moving in tonight so we are hoping the 3rd night of predator sets and the front might have the critters on the move well at least we hope so.
