Who on Tman might have the Mad-skills to make this Striker?

Its from my Favorite Flint-n-Steel kit.

My Daughter wants it from me but I cannot find them for sale anymore.

I've seen 4 seasons of Forged in Fire! I can definitely tell you that it needs to be the right temp when it's quenched, gotta use plenty of white-out and let it dry when making a canister damascus, and don't try and impress anyone by swinging a huge hammer because you'll quickly tire.

I also stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Been a while since I watched it, but you hit the nail on the head. After a few episodes I'd find myself yelling at the TV when contestants would do something like that. Like I know better lol

I forged one a lot like that. I used to have a coal forge, but when I moved I had to leave it. Looking into building a propane forge.

Nessmuck, I came up with a thicker char cloth that is 100% cotton but dosent break apart like thin tee shirt cloth.

I have made charcoal from firewood and used that instead of char cloth

I moving from camp to camps, a few hours time...I put coals in one tin and that in a leather bag. Start a fire easily in foul weather.

I've seen strikers like that for sale, somewhere....
Try the bush crafters sites, or call Bens Backwoods, I bet he knows where to get one...
