Take a short piece of your cable and support wire with you and see what fits like you want it to.

Not all #9 wire is the same.

Scotch 33 fits universally

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

You don't need wammies if you bend the W in support wires as Paul instructs in his Beaver Sites and Sets dvd. The W method avoids the time and expense of wammies completely. All part of the KISS system.

Didn't you ask loved ones for that dvd for Birthday or Christmas gift last year?

Nothing works as well as a snug fitting real metal whammy type support collar. All the tubes, tapes, ties and bends just wish they worked as well. laugh

You'll find you save more time with the whammies than the bends. Plus you avoid the storage issues with straight wire if you use the collars.

I have to disagree ADC. There Is nothing better then a piece of rubber gas line used as whammy. I use 3/16th ID gas line. It doesn't get hard during freezing weather and snugs up on the support wire holding It firmly In place. The other thing about the rubber gas line Is that It's snug enough to where you can adjust the angle of your loop much easier. And once adjusted It will stay In place.
One more thing that rubber has going for It Is It's flexible enough where you can use different sized support wire.

The metal whammies are great. But as mentioned above, #10 wire is being sold as 9 so having the tubing whammies is where I'm stuck at.

Should still learn the W as a backup and there are some extreme situations where not even whammies work.

Juat to let y'all know my findings .

For 5/64ths 1x19 and 3/32ns 1x19 the 3/16" inside diameter 5/16" outside diameter it's nice and tight on my #9 support wire
[Linked Image]

And the .170" inside diameter 1/4" outside diameter is nice and tight on my #9 with 1/16th cable

In cold weather that plastic stuff will get hard your better off with rubber. But In wolf dogs country he should be OK.
