My son took in his Browning Silver Hunter to trade or sell. They said they weren't buying anything semi-auto. They said didn't want to risk having to turn them in when Biden takes office. Anyone else ran into this issue?

First I've heard of anything like that Brian. It's not a good situation for sure.

https://freedomfirearmsiowa.com/ - You may have him try Ken here, great guy to deal with.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe that they aren't interested in a semi automatic shotgun.

If they come after all the semi autos the gun stores are done with anyway. If they can pull that off they would be almost unstoppable in their assault on the 2nd amendment at that point.

I think they have already lost.

what gun store Dec 12, 2020 doesn't think they could sell it by Jan 20th

very surprized they didn't even low ball him

maybe just and excuse because shotguns over 600 are not selling as fast

Yes. I believe it. Starting to see it in Iowa with AR15 guns. I have 5 . It’s all about Ammo now. I spent my whole life buying guns. What a mistake ! You need 1 shotgun with a spare barrel , 1 rifle that might be able to do it all In your section of the USA ( 243 bolt gun for the Midwest , Southern states and NE States ) , 22LR and finally a defense pistol Like a 357 because you can shoot 38’s out of it too. Then a ton of ammo for them guns. I have learned the hard way after this election. you can only shoot one gun at a time. MD

If ou812 said it, take it to the bank. He doesn't lie.

My Glock 9mm on my hip and my .223 on board goes everywhere with me near the border. They have for 10 years or so. The last 3 years have been much better and I kinda forgot about how the chaos of drug runners had at least gone underground or something, because I don't have as many empty Tequila bottles scattered around the ranches from the dudes dressed in Rambo fatigues and big drugs packs hiking north.

We start trapping again Saturday and with JB about to reign and the caravans beginning once again.....
Here we go again.
Wonderful.

I agree with Bruce. A guy should own at least one of everything!

Biden says semi's will be NFA guns. You know, like machine guns. I could see a gun store wanting to avoid applying and paying for a class III dealers license or "selling" inventory to the feds to avoid it.

Who knows what kamelto wants to do. she is even more rabidly anti 2 than creepy joe.

with this latest "no standing" decision the supremes are likely just going to sit on their black dresses and pretend its unimportant.

May have to check in the local gun shop. I wouldn't mind a new gun or two and save them the trouble of turning them in, maybe some good deals to be worked out.

All I know is my .223 ammo for coyotes has been AWOL for so long, that when I finally see some, I say WHAT! on the price.
Can you all back off the acquisition just a bit so I can buy 1,000 rounds for something less than the price of a house on the lake. smirk

only deal to be worked out on any gun for sale is it definitely costs more than it did last year.

but you should go see the empty shelves for yourself ask about ordering while your at it

something along the lines of maybe 3rd quarter 2022 they will catch up.

There’s more to the story, no gun shop would turn down a gun that would sell within a week or less. Go try to buy a new pump or semi auto shotgun, there’s almost nothing available. I don’t mean just on gun store shelves, I mean in warehouses or anywhere. Its not even possible to order one. Two weeks before Christmas and that gun would sell in a few days max. Maybe that was an excuse they gave because the gun was junk, but any shop would jump on a decent semi auto shotgun.
