Just got a young female coyote and it had several small soft cauliflower shaped white growths on its lips from BB to pea size . Never seen it before, any ideas of what it could be ? The rest of her looked good except for missing fur on the last 3" of her tail. -Thanks

All of the boy coyotes in area had a special name for that one I bet.

Yes, but not that bad. Smaller , BB to pea size, white, and not clumped together. Anything to be concerned about or flesh and board as normal ? thanks

That was the most advanced case of the 6 or so I caught like that. The district biologist wasn’t worried about it and didn’t want the head. But later that year they wanted anymore I caught like that. Haven’t seen it since. That yote couldn’t eat as his tongue and inside of his mouth was full of that stuff. He was in poor shape but his hide was good. I chose not to skin him.
