Lots of folks here have used them and most will recommend them. I've personally sent 3 or 4 batches of fur to them over the years and have always been happy with the results. I'm currently wearing a coonskin cap that they tanned and have 7 furs hanging on the wall behind me they tanned. Most recently sent them some fur in September and got it back a week or two ago.

Others will likely suggest you use Z&L or Tubari because they're closer to you, but I can definitely recommend Sleepy Creek.

I've had 8 pelts tanned by them, and have no complaints!

I've always been very happy with them. They do all my tanning.

Sent them beaver, otter, mink and rats last year. Was happy with all of it. Making earmuffs for the ladies in the family with the muskrat and mink tonight. Everything came back soft and shiny.

I used them around 4 years ago and I wasn’t happy. I sent them 15 pelts and 8 of them came back with holes in them, some of the holes are the size of your fist. Lesson learned I’m trying someone else next time.

I guess 9:1 is mixed...kinda

Both of the East Coast guys have good reviews also.

I would choose the one that has the prices, turnaround, and shipping cost.
that is best for me because all are good.

I’ve used Sleepy Creek, Moyles, and Z&L. All did a good job. I have been sending to Z&L the last three years....they’re closer to home, and I like talking to Leo.

Now, I'm not saying that in your case this was the problem but when I toured the SCT facility I was shown some very poorly put up furs that came that way from the trappers. Over fleshed mostly but lots of nicks from knives too and some I'd thrown straight in the trash. Hard to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
