Yes, sir. Let's keep the senate so we'll be able to buy civilian versions.

Do you think they will destroy all the M-16 to keep them off the market?

Do you think they will destroy all the M-16 to keep them off the market? They will be gifted to other agencies or other countries they will never see the civilian markets.

One reason they are going to 6.8 is that the medium MGs will also fire that round and thus stop having to have both 5.56 and 7.62 in the field. I don't know if I would want an old beat up ex-military M-16 variant. My kid wasn't impressed with the shape either his training rifle and one he's carrying now came in when he first got them.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground". Genesis 1:26

Yes, no way they would be made available to the people who paid for them in the first place. Other countries, and the black market, so they can be used against us .

i thought the fn scar was going to replace m-16 and m-4 to me i think an m-4 with say a 6.5 round and a little work to the mag and internal works would be all that is needed but but who am i if you look back they went from the m1 garand to the m-14 to the m-16 in approx 20 years why build something like the ak-47 built to buried in the mud but will still fire
