that is a fine present.
I get a little sad that when items like that get passed down it is often a sign the original user is done with it.
I hope that isn't the case for you and the two of you have much quality time left afield.
a family heirloom in the making for sure.
may you get many years of good service and be able to pass it to your son or daughter.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I will pass this one to my step-son, him and I are on the same page, and he has been an awesome young man to raise.

Very nice. Mine is only about 20 years old and not nearly as nice as that one. No damage but its looks well used, which it has been.

Just picked one up for 200 bucks with extra mag cylinder. Will
Pass it on to my boys someday you might want to watch for the police , a single 6 in good shape with a mag cylinder for 200 is almost robbery in todays market  must have found some one hard up for 200 cash
