Anyone got prices of fur from his stops in the UP last week? Did he buy deer hides. How much was castor. Plan on meeting him in Atlanta Dec. 18.

Think he was giving 3 or 4 bucks for deer hides if they were salted, we got 75 a pound for castor. Coyotes we got 45 tops averaged about 30 and they were good coyotes from last winter. Beaver we brought a little of every size and averaged 13. Rats were about 2.50 average, otter were about 18 average and they were good otter. That’s about the only things we brought, so don’t know about other species.

I am meeting him in west branch on the 18th. He is very fair. I don't think you will do any better with any other buyer.

Wish I had more time to trap....

Make sure to bring Trevor peanut M&Ms. He loves them.

I got the same price as Jor posted. Considering the market I felt it was fair. He also buys beaver oil sac but not sure what he pays for them. The guy ahead of me sold some. Left there and went to check traps to find a bobcat in the daughter's set. She was happy to get money for her rats and otter but the bobcat topped her day. She is 12 and love to go trapping. She is learning well.

Wish I had more time to trap....

$18 for good Northern otter is unfortunately more than you'll get in Canada with today's market.

Ya I know we usually ship about half our fur to furharvesters. Won’t ship any otter until something improves.
