I drove some wolf fangs about 12" and the bottom 6 or so was red clay and I had to work to get them out. Can't imagine frozen ground but if I wanted them back I would start sooner than later when the ground is really frozen

Could use a pick ax. Dug some trenches putting in electrical lines when there was a 6 inch layer of frost to get through. Slow going for sure.

I would say that if your only concern is the farming implements, those thing pull up huge rocks and other garbage all the time. I'm sure they would never even notice a little super stake.

My side do you know anyone that works for the Electrical company, they will have some old 3/4 " rock drill bits that they drill anchor post into rocks to bolt poles onto. Ask and they usually give to new homes !
With this drill close to your cable a couple of holes, the drilling loosens the ground and with a puller things should come.
Check what a puller looks like is a Trapping catalog and ask if the Industrial Metal Shops can fabricate you one for someone's project, all you have to do is ask. ( it's a outdoor educational tool) is all they have to tell their Principal.....remember there is a PAL in that higher teacher

On my finned super stakes I have a retrieval cable & use a pick mattock to pull them out. Use the pick end as a puller & the mattock blade to dig down if I need to.
With your current freezing conditions I would grab an ax & a shovel. The ax for frozen ground & the shovel for loose stuff. I've toted around traps with about half a cinder block of frozen ground around them & stake dangling out the bottom before. Fun times! After your done with that project you can come down & help me carry beaver out of the swamp. Good luck!!!

What no taters on the island !
Those tips on the drills are carbide and worth 200$ an ounce for the diamonds in them, so don't pass them up if offered. A little search you can find how to take them off.
