That stinks. If I remember correctly, that means Michigan residents won't be able to pursue them in Wisconsin then either due to reciprocity rules. Nor will Minnesota residents for obvious reasons.

Here's hoping Wisconsin still gets a season next year.

I hate to be a downer, but I don't see any season in the foreseeable future. Our la st governor was a Republican who half a--ed went along but ordered no trapping, giving lukewarm support to the whole project. Now we have a flaming liberal governor and AG,who have given their anti thoughts to it.I don't get comments from Michigan sportsmen who seem to think a season is on the horizon.I don't believe it will ever happen.

I personally would like to see a wolf season, the number I have seen and the tracks would indicate a good population up here in the U.P.
But you have to remember that the local Native-American population carries a lot of political clout up here. The last time the wolves were delisted and they had a hunt, I believe all of the tribes were in the fight to stop it.

No way the Grinch will allow it. If it does come to the table she’ll use everything in her power to not let it happen.

NO way should a govenor of a state have say over wildlife. She or he isnt a schooled biologist ect. Govenor of MI is a sad uneducated person in wildlife.

Good lord don’t tell me the WOLVES are sacred now too??
Even being a breed I can’t keep track of what I’m supposed to worship.
Seems to me the ungulates are what my ancestors would have worshiped, they provided the things needed day to day for survival. Animals they didn’t have the nuts to go toe to toe with using primitive weapons ( I don’t blame them ) were deemed sacred and were to be avoided.
Of course this was before politics.

I consider walleye my brothers, doesn't stop them from spearing tens of thousands each year with LED lights, generators and fancy boats. Ya know, like their ancestors did.

What gets me is fishermen and women still patronize their casinos .
