It would be interesting to know how many on that graph died with covid rather than from covid, many in the older age groups were knocking on deaths door when they contracted it.
yes, it may have contributed in some way, but they may have also been so weak they could not fight it. Seems everyone who tests positive that is the cause.

Coincidentally, I looked at that today. I too was a little surprised at the 10% number.

I still think the coronavirus was designed to hasten folks over 50 and especially the baby boomers to their demise.

While it may not be working exactly as "designed" it's doing a pretty good job targeting the over 50 age group.

I wonder how many of those people would have died if they didn't have Rona. Almost most of the people that die from Rona have pre existing morbidities.

How many in that 10% had the flu instead of Covid? We will probably never know.

That would be an untrue statement. This is from someone who had filled out a number of death certificates.

All of them, no one lives forever. The real question is how long would they have lived with their preexisting conditions if they hadn't contracted covid. 6mo? 15 years? No one knows. I'm sure their loved ones would have liked to had that extra time.

We will not be able to be sure about excess deaths until some point in the future. Some on this board fancy themselves as prescient. Maybe they are.
