Nothing wrong with that video. A lot of greedy folks around here buying up certain ammo as soon as it hits the shelves. Overheard one braggart the other day talking about how he and several family members “got it all” from another local gun shop. So this guy circumvented store policy to “get it all” for himself. From what he was saying, he has owned guns and been shooting all his life. It personally makes no difference to me however the scenario just described is a big reason why there is very limited ammo available for some calibers, etc. Also, I’ve been told a lot of ammo is going to military contracts. And as the Federal man said in the video, there are a lot of new gun owners stocking up with ammo who likely had no base amount. A lot of less popular ammo is readily available around here. Look for private sales and pay near double than “normal” or reload your own if you are out of ammo.

He made a lot of sense to me. Certainly he started off a bit frustrated at first.
I helped a buddy with some shooting skills. New to guns this year. Bought an AR, a 9mm pistol, and a 380 for the wife. He has bought several boxes of ammo for practice.

Primers can be found now around here in limited quantities. I’ve been told not as many primers available because ammo companies focusing on making ammo. I’ve also been told that certain ammo is only made in a short period of time each year. Buckshot has not been available retail for months around here. Demand has exceeded supply.

WITH 7.000,000, new shooters I would have liked to see the new factories under construction . That's the part that baffles me . You would think as long as they have been behind over the last fifteen years they would be adding manufacturing capability as fast as they can . Maybe they are .
I respect his abrasive nature . I see it as being plain spoken . Leaders that spend all their time apologizing are normaly ineffective at best . There is probably a more touchy feely video staring a hired PR spokesman out there .
