“The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:2, 6-8
I love Christmas! It is easy to forget the true meaning. Gifts, family, and food are wonderful! But something even more wonderful was born of a virgin 2000 years ago! The gift of Jesus Christ! The gift that of eternal life! God gave his only son so that we could be with him forever that’s how much he loves you! If you haven’t given your life to God do it today before it’s too late! Please keep Christ in Christmas!

Christmas was a myriad of pagan holidays and rituals that Christians adopted and added their own narrative to in order to get the pagans to convert. It was widely celebrated by pagans as the birthday of the Sun (not the Son) or the return of the sun as it relates to winter solstice.
It is also debated by scholars wether or not it actually is the birth date of Christ. By using clues found in the gospel according to Luke many scholars belief that He was either a spring or fall baby.

It is Summer in the Southern Hemisphere right now, incase you have forgotten your geography. President U.S.Grant Declared Dec. 25 to be a National Holiday to celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The actual date really doesn't matter, as long as you BELIEVE, and are THANKFUL, for the LIFE GIVEN FOR YOU. Charlie

I’m not saying I don’t believe. Just that most of the rituals we still use today to celebrate the occasion came from pagans. The traditional colors of red, green and white, Pagan holiday colors. Singing Christmas carols, pagan solstice ritual. Exchanging gifts, pagan. Lighting candles, pagan. Greeting cards, pagan ritual. The Catholic Church took all of these and incorporated them into Christmas as a celebration of Jesus birth to give Christianity a familiarity that would make it easier to convert the pagans.
