BOCO just stated on another thread that we got ripped off by Groeny because we didn't ship our fur to FHA. Unless or Until this Covid-19 nightmare works itself out and the International fur market recovers somewhat we won't be shipping any fur to FHA. Always been a FHA supporter and shipper but It would be a bad move at this point to gamble on the Canadian auction casino. walleyed

Talked to our used to be agent last week. Bottom line, FHA does not want our fur this year so our former agent will be trapping full time instead of taking time off to run routes in the states he served. It is not hard to understand why FHA has made this decision.....why should they continue to collect pelts that they can not get sold for some price? NAFA tried that and we see where it got them!
I hope the travel restrictions get lifted so FHA can have a live auction sooner rather than later so we can get a better idea of the demand for wild caught fur. I also hope there is enough demand that FHA can keep the doors open and weather the storm.
Right now, our options are local buyers which are about as scarce as hens teeth or Groenewold.
If there are any other buyers out there that are interested in fur from the NC and VA area, send me a PM. I am all ears when it comes to providing opportunity for trappers to move their catch.

Wait................! Theres a new strain discovered in UK......... Were going to have to extend the lock downs till its "safe". I saw a new strain is making kids in CA sick. Its just part of the "new normal", they started talking about in March. You can live, or be reliant on a $600 Government check. How much of this money will come back as a kick back to the ones that voted it in.

I just got a letter and advance check (PT sales) from FHA. They expect to have double the attendance for April of any auction they have ever held.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
