I sent 51 old weigh up cows to the market last week. They brought 651 dollars a head. Burger in Walmart here is 5.30 a pound. Someone is making good money on beef but it sure isn't the ranchers.


I can't believe that cop put me in the back seat when I clearly called shotgun.

I think I got you beat Ness. First I got to eat my prime rib tonight, though it only weighed 8lbs, but it cost me $0 my sister bought it for me for an early Christmas present! I got 3 nice big slices left over to hit the grill in the next day or two as well. Forgot the darn picture though. frown

I agree....I would rather have a moose roast any day ....but never had a moose roast...just gifted some steaks ,that were excellent.

I believe moose it is the most nutritious of all meats on the planet. And superior in flavor to most as well, IMO. The fat is to die for if not a rutted bull. We never trim any off.

Caribou is addicting and has a buttery flavor. Once I eat it I cant stop until its gone, but not as near as nutritious as moose.


But its all better than tofu . lol

I have been using the “Reverse Sear Method “ ...with awesome results....just Google it. get yourself a good meat thermometer.
