Fisher trapping is new in PA. Can someone clear this up for us fisher newbees. I was told when a lot of deep snow arrives the fisher tend to mainly just travel the waterways. True ???

Never trapped fisher, but leaning branch and leaning logs near the waterways with snares or Coni's might pay off.

False, fisher travel the same general route regardless of snow depth. Furthmore fisher are generally not found in deep snow habitats.


The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.
