The regional office of the Idaho Fish and Game here in Idaho Falls uses Backbreaker lure for beaver nuisance trapping. Most, if not all the nuisance work, is done by couple of volunteers and they tell me it does an excellent job any time of the year. Call me crazy but I like to open it and smell it in thr off season it smells sooo good

I use my own lure, have for many years. When the price of castor went high I sold all my castor and bought beaver lure. A lot of trappers here Use Bob Wilsons green lure-It works very well here both in open water fur season and in summer nuisance. I had a chance to get some of Pauls Backbreaker when I was down in the states, and it produced just as well if not better than the Bob Wilsons.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

All I ever did for many years was to take castors from a different river system, turn one castor inside out in put it in a jar with a lid. When at the set, add a little water from the stream to the jar, shake vigorously for 5 seconds, and pour out on a castor mound. You can do this over and over for years with the same castor if you like. Never had any spoilage. Caught every beaver I tried to catch with something that simple. Sometimes I would add a squirt of the oil sacks to the jar as well. All very simple and 100% natural.

Paul's Beaver Plus for me! I thought about that one since its a curiosity lure vs a castor lure to mix it up a bit
