Many of the doctors these days are foreigners from religious backgrounds that don't acknowledge Christmas. These doctors have the run of the medical facilities and the administrations don't stand up to them. My friend is a nurse and worked yesterday, and goes in at 7:00 this morning for procedures as the doctor on call likes to purposely be a pain in the side to the nurses who would like to celebrate Christmas today. It stinks. I hope y'all can enjoy Christmas Day with your people! Argh. No, I'm not whining....just flustrated.

Tell her to let that light shine so he can see he ain’t shaking that faith. He will eventually have a change of heart or he will move on.

As somebody that knows many people in the health care field I think your friend needs to rethink her/his career choice. Hospitals dont close for holidays sooo... Blaming the "foreign " docter, use vacation time if its that important to be off. Never understood how people that choose to go into health care think they should never have to work nights, weekends or holidays.

I think Gary's point is the guy PURPOSELY scheduled the surgery on Christmas when it was not necessary to do so. Sounds like a D-bag to me.

Christians are called to love your neighbor and pray for our enemies and sometimes we are driven to recall this command Jesus gave in His time on earth.
All that are, and all that we do, is often by our own choices
and the world makes us chose more than we care to.

The great news is, we still have a few choices we can make here in America.
Some are easy.
Some are not.

Other people, who seem to deliberately make us choose their way(s), deserve our choices some times, and our prayers other times.
Thank you Lord, for our freewill to do just that.

It was more than likely that Jesus was born in early October anyways and today is just Saturnalia with a Christian mask. Days don't make a Christian, acts and live does.

I pray God would give me an appointment with a non-believer every single day. What a great chance to exercise the great commission. The real reason for the season. God does not care about your happiness. He cares about our holiness. If you are comfortable then God probably is not using you. We are called to suffer for his sake.
