I often give them a pass around the place but this year I decided to set. Am now at 7! All males, many yoy. I've never seen so many before there are a lot around this year!

I don't recall ever seeing 1 alive, but they are around, in fact we have an open season on them as long as ya have a trapping license. I wonder if they are quite nocturnal. Maybe there's been times I've seen 'em early in the year at a distance & mistook it for a red squirrel.

I only caught 1 weasel in 48 years of trapping. The first year I trapped I caught one in a Victor# 2 CS Coyote dirt hole set by the foot. Go figure. He must have been in the trap 1 minute. Was near a big Rock pile in middle of field. MD

Around 1970ish, I was ten years old and went with my grandfather to run his line
He caught a grayish color weasel, that’s the only one that I have ever seen in the south or anywhere
Else for that matter..
Has anyone caught weasels in the south?

I really enjoyed those pictures. I like to have those little buggers around my place, they are a huge value for me when on all four legs.
