Depends on what you’re wanted to spend. Estwing makes a solid tool that won’t break the bank.

Snow & Nealley. Advertised in Trappers Post. I like mine and supported people with the same interests as me by purchasing it from them.

Not tough enough for me. I break everything.
I broke my Estwing. The handle is just a hollow pipe.
Just buy one at home depot or somewhere. I like the Husky with the synthetic handle.
Can't see paying $75-$100 for something I'm just going to lose or break anyway, so I just go with a mid grade axe.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I love the fairly durable construction of the Estwings but hate the blade shape, too round for my liking.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Hard to beat Granfors. Loved mine. German Shepard pup loved it too and took it to a secret spot and buried it. Have a Snow and Nealy too but its head is a little too heavy and it's handle a bit short for my taste. Good steel though. I skinned a caribou with my Granfors. Great axe.

The cheapest one the local hardware store has. I paint the handle orange so it stands out. When I lose it I get another one. I go back in the spring and pick them up
