I got a witness to it too !! laugh

There we were, getting the driveway plowed out, when from across the road; a Dog started making his presence LOUDLY KNOWN!! I look over to where the noise was coming from . Yep!! Same Dog that charged after me before. This time, however, was a surprise!!

Was it on the lawn ?

NO!

It was on the Porch. To be exact , it had climbed out of the 2nd floor window of their house, and was standing there on the Porch ROOF !! barking at us.

Now, I got to wonder why anyone would leave their window WIDE OPEN when it is snowing , blowing and 15 Degrees outside !???? confused crazy

I question my wife about this exact same thing when I wake up at 3 am with both windows in the bedroom open and the fan going full blast.

So that happens at other houses too?!? I'm hot. I'm cold. I'm hot. I'm cold.

I like dogs a lot, but there's one currently next door that barks just to hear himself bark. Very rude.

Had one come through one of those bubble side windows on an older conversion van a few years ago while I was filling up with gas and come charging across the gas station parking lot at me

Last thing it ever did and ended up spending a couple hours in the police station retelling the story to the city officers over and over again

Seems the dear darling American red nosed pit bull wouldn’t hurt a fly and I shot it just because, according to the owner

Then I spent some more time defending against it in small claims court, that’s how I know it was a pure bred and papered, the judge ultimately threw it out of court but still cost me time off to go in and defend against the owners claims

I have solutions to problems. I'm a dog lover ran rabbit dogs, competition bird dogs, have a border collie and German shepherd in the house. BUT.. when I walk into my barn to encounter a dog snarling and hair raised it reduced a 3rd eye in a fraction of a second.

When my daughter came in one evening when she was small and told about the neighbors dog growling and getting aggressive in our yard towards my little girl the next morning at twilight it got an extra ear hole while in my yard.

I learned early on talking to the offending dog owner is a wast of time there is no way spot would do that. Then when spot goes missing they automatically come pointing fingers and getting aggressive towards you. Law enforcement gets called ect...

Poor pet owner don't want to take responsibility for their pets or their lack of control of their pets. I tried everything early on now I just eliminate the problems quickly and quietly.. If there is ever a witness that's an issue.. " yes officer I shot a dog killing my registered breed sheep and goats we have had several losses this year so the 3rd time I cought it in the act I killed it. What the owner is up set? Well I understand they probably want to apologize and compensate me for my 6k in losses sure send them right up to collect the dead dog and bring me a check." Problem solved.

A dog growling and threatening a person off the owner's property is totally different then a dog simply barking on the owner's property.

If they come on your property,
and are exhibiting aggressive
behavior shoot 'em, stack 'em up,
and bury 'em quickly.

You should plan ahead and have
the hole already dug, shovel handy,
and enough back-fill to quickly
plant 'em with some flowers
strategically positioned on
the hole site.

No sense in involving neighbors
who probably don't respect your
property rights any ways.

Choot straight !!! laugh

100% agreed. I assumed there were were issues other than being irritated by barking.
My friend and neighbors dog loves to bark hound in the middle of the night. The problem isn't his dog its mine going off like someone is breaking in in response.
We just tell ours to hush it's just Grunt and go back to sleep. Never a solid nights sleep.

The neighbors dog is a great mole killing machine Nd the smartest hound I have ever seen. Noise is just part of living around people. It was worse when I lived in town ( loud music, mufflers, ect.)as a kid but I was used to it then.

After dec 21 you must keep dogs confined or it can be considered a nuisance and shot on site
