Heard they are now even up here as far as northern Maine now. Sorry to hear that one. I cant stand the nasty things, I would rather smell a skunk. I would rather skin a skunk. Possum have a nasty garbage like odor to them. I can't imagine people actually eat them.

Always, ALWAYS, take a dump in the truck if you try to bring them home. Got tired of the mess, they stay right where I caught them! Same here they stay were i caught them. This one even wandered 150+ yards down a mowed water way in a plowed field. Cant hide from them I guess

Yuck you guy's sure make me happy I don't have any grinners in my neck of the woods. Is it the high altitude or the cold temperatures that I don't have them ? I know there's lots of them on the west side of the cascades. I don’t think it’s the cold. I was getting tires put on the rig in north central MN a couple years ago mid morning and looked out the window of the place and watched a possum walking up an ice covered creek. It was 13 below at the time. Osky

Caught many and never noticed a smell. Seems if I catch a possum first a coyote is always next. If that was true here we'd be rich off all the yotes. Lol. Been catching them since I was a kid. Sometimes got to weed them out early in the season, so when other fur gets good your sets aren't plugged up
