Ok I looking at buying a new 14' utility trailer with a single axel with a gate. I'm wanting to get a pipe top rail trailer for strength. I was just given a really nice ATV trailer for trapping a farmers land, I tried to buy it from him but he told me to just take it and that he didn't use it any more. I own a 10' trailer but they won't fit on it together & the new trailer will mainly be used to haul my ATV with trailer along with it. I'm wanting a bumper hitch type and it has to be 14' here's what the trailer looks like in the picture below. What is a good brand trailer to buy?

It really depends on your budget. I would check Craigslist and see what’s available in your area both new and used. IMO I would buy one that has a regular size tire say 15”. The atv trailer I had had the smaller tires on it, wasn’t very good on gravel or muddy roads.

If it doesn’t have bearing buddies on it that would be my next purchase after getting the trailer!!!!

most any trailer over 12ft is gonna be made with two axles. Not saying you can't find a single axle, but to be rated correctly it will be tough. You may wind up having to have one custom built.

I have a single axle 14 there are a lot of places that weld them up especially along the ILL MO line that is where mine was made

14 foot is really easy to get over weight hauling much I can basically do a single layer of firewood rounds

most single axels are 3500 pounds max

I wish I had a tandem axle

A trailer that long with a single axle will be a birch to tow unless you get the weight distribution just right and thats a tough thing to do when hauling an ATV with a trailer on it. I would go the tandem axle route.
As they track better and are safer for that reason.

I have a single axle 14 footer. Had to replace the axle once from loading it up with to much scaffolding. But it is nice for hauling my quad with a trailer. Wish I got the duel axle.

Big Tex makes a 14 ft single axle pipe top trailer. You should be able to get what you need in a 12 ft trailer you might have to unhook your atv trailer to get it to fit and maybe turn the trailer sideways. You can also get a side loading gate or ramps to load your machine sideways for more room. I bought a 12 ft pj single axle with side loading ramps and rear gate a year ago that I am happy with for what it's worth .

We buy a lot of trailers for work. After being disappointed by many ,we only buy Cornpro or Moritz! You won't be disappointed.

Legend trailers seem to be the gold standard in these parts

You could look for a boat trailer as they traditionally have the axle further back. Take off the bunks and put a deck on it yourself. A days worth of cutting and welding and you'll have what you want.

A trailer like mine sits idle 75% of the time. Bad investment

get the tandem axle and be done with it...mine is a MTI, it's ok for the money..16' v-neck with ramp, 7' interior was $4950 with aluminum ladder racks on top...I think stealth are a little better built, but a bit more money
