I was offered 40 a lb. Green castor. No sorting it out, just weigh it all together. What do you guys think?

Myself,I would take the miniscule amount of time it takes to dry it,and sell for full value.
But to each his own I guess-I understand some people dont even dry their fur.

If you sell green, make sure it is good and wet.

From right out of the beaver to dry enough to sell you should only lose 20-23% at most. You do the math and see what is your best option.

I just got $70 for semi dry ungraded castor.

I'd dry it

Not me hogwild.

That was somebody that sold after my
transaction was wrapped up and done.

I think Gary Groenewold meant to say
the sale price was $80.00 a pound and
thus $40.00 for 1/2 a pound.

My guess is there is a typo or some sort of error involved. Most likely was $80 for a full lb.

Probably a difference between Minnesota castor and Tennessee castor, but I see your point.

No brainer, dry the castor and you have more options.

Dry the castor. It's easy to do and doesn't take that long.

It looks like at that price lure and bait prices that utilize castor may be like gas and diesel under Bidens administration
