Coons are way down here getting 80-100 most years now looking at getting 20 in some of the best habitat places around.

I can’t speak for the rest of you but the DNR has been telling me that we have coon distemper in the area I trap. The coon we’ve taken have been huge and the numbers are down, I’ll suppose, because the yoy are dead. It’s not that I want young of the year, but there have been seasons where I whacked and stacked 2-3 times what I’m getting now. They’re just not available.
Never too old to learn

What I have caught have been 2x and 3x just not many, saw a lot of road kill early mostly small ones.
