I am from Central Indiana and looking for advice. I'm going to take my 19 year old daughter for a weekend fishing trip. We are looking to rent a shanty from a charter service. Tentative plans are for late January. Any suggestions for either state is much appreciated.
I was gonna suggest whitefish in sturgeon Bay as well, kind of a nice change of pace from the typical walleye/pike fishing. Plus the limit is 10/day so you can bring home plenty even if you eat a few while you're there.
Can't help by recommending a guide as I find them myself, but there are plenty out there if you do a search. But thats only a month away, better book soon if you want a spot.
Do you guys fish for Lake Trout,Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Black Crappie, Cusk, white and yellow perch, pike, ....or is it just Walleye and Pike ???

Here in Michigan that would depend on whether or not your in the great lakes or an inland lake.Perch is huge here, found in both types of water.Whitefish is big on certain great lakes.Lake trout somewhat, some of the great lakes where the Lakers thrive have poor ice conditions .Bass season is closed, crappie and bluegill are big in inland lakes where they're found.Never heard of a cusk.
