Clip on wheel weights are good stuff if you can find em'. They use antimony for hardening and can be dropped in water right out of the mold for further hardening if desired. If your molds aren't filling out (and they probably won't with pure wheel weights), you can put some tin in the mix to help the mix flow better in your mold. A good source of tin is lead free plumbers solder; it's something like 99% tin. I say make the 30 cal. bullets first. They'll be easier to make shoot. Less exasperating. .22 cal cast bullets can be a pain. As long as I can buy bulk .22 jacketed bullets for 8 cents or so a piece I won't bother casting them. Your molds gas check?
They're still all over here. Did your state ban em or something?
It's an EPA thang. They said lead wheel weights get slung off on the road and make all that lead laying around hazardous on the roads I guess. So here in the 48 they've went to zinc or steel wheel weights. Also, so many cars now have alloy rims which won't work well with clip-ons.

Yeah the tree I have right now are really looking at doing the .22lr first though because I'm have a thousand small rifle primers and only about 300 or so large rifle
I shoot mostly cast out of all my pistols 357,41 and 44 mag plus used to pour spinner baits and buzz baits. One funny story about getting used wheel weights. Most of our tire shops had no problem with me getting them I'd give them some cash for beer or what ever. This one place had 3 or 4 5gal buckets full when I asked about getting them and even paying scrap value. He started lecturing me on how busy he was and I didn't know what I was doing , its against the law just a bunch of BS. Anyway my wife had just upgraded from a "a" cups to a D's and the following weekend I had her go in there with a wife beater shirt on and ask about them. He lugged all those buckets out and loaded them in my truck I was in the passenger seat with my head buried in a magazine. Once he shut my tailgate I got out and thanked him he didn't say a word but stomped back inside. J
