Until his father passed, he only owned a Japanese rifle he brought back from WW2. After his dad passed he got a Winchester 1895 pump in 22 wrf. Parents bought me a single shot 20 gauge when I was a teenager so he owned that too.
I have the 1895 now. Other 2 he sold after I left home.

Remington 12 gauge side by side , and 22 Winchester pump. Bought him self an Ithaca deer slayer afterwards. But those 2 guns killed everything he wanted to hunt. Wasn't any deer in this part of Ky then.

2 shotguns and a 243. I have a few more than that but not near as many as some folks. I was just wondering tonight if our generation just gone wild buying and if it was normal for the generations before us to have fewer guns. My grandpa had 2 guns. A shotgun and a 22 rifle.

We had one in the house for every type of game Nebraska has to offer. I don't own any guns now.

My folks never owned a gun of any kind. They certainly weren’t outdoor people. In fact, I’m the only one that does anything outdoors. Made for a long learning curve.

Looks a lot like my uncles. He lined a walk-in down in the basement with 5/8 road plate and hung a safe door.

I've been in one room like that. The guy had a special concrete room built in his basement with a heavy steel door(held shut with a screwdriver LOL). His taste was for ruger revolvers, trap/skeet O/Us, and lever guns like the ones at your friends. In the corner, there were more G Loomis fishing rods than I had ever seen at a sporting goods store.

My grandpa and dad all had the same collection. a .22 and a shotgun. My Great Grandpa had 2 shotguns, 2 .22s, and a savage 101 .22 pistol that he carried on his trapline. It is probably one of my most treasured pieces. I'll never forget seeing my 1st red fox that he caught and then the 1st time I saw that pistol coming out from under his jacket.

I have two, one for each hand.

Never had any at home, parents never had any either, and I'd be foolish to even say if I had any now at this time in our country, looks like I'm the only one that feels that way !!

Very nice!! I've wanted something like this for years. Probably since I first saw Commando.

I've incorporated the concept into some house plans we are rough drafting.
