Certain Asian nations discard them differently than we do here.

I see it all the time too. Spending some time in FLA and it's amazing how many employees the city has just driving the medians in Gators picking up trash. People find a dark road and pile old tires on the edge of the road and leave them in the middle of cities. It is disgusting.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Plenty of stuff not disposed of properly here so why would masks be any different. I have had at least a 1/2 dozen masks show up in my yard already along with the usual beer cans and fast food bags & cups and Copenhagen container and various other trash.

I always found it odd that people are so afraid of this "deadly, out of control virus", that they wear these masks everywhere, then just throw these "infected virus catchers" on the ground. Where are the bio-hazard bins to put this deadly infectious trash?

Masks are as essential to us as infant and adult diapers, with a tiny fraction of the environmental impact. Cigarette filters might even be a larger concern.
I don't know, just making assumptions. We are a wasteful nation.

Masks are as essential to us as infant and adult diapers, with a tiny fraction of the environmental impact. Yeah, additional masks should just be added to expected environmental impact, I suppose.

Where are the bio-hazard bins to put this deadly infectious trash? You will never see such a thing. For one, biohazard bins are for regulated hazardous materials. So masks would have to registered as hazmat. Get caught hauling hazmat without the proper licensing and you're looking at fines in the 6 figures.
