This is the fourth year that I said I was going to retire from beaver'n on my big timber company contract. I was sure of it, and made some plans of things to do after retirement. Today the new contract for 2021 came, and I'll be danged if I didn't accept and sign the thing. It must be an addiction that I can't seem to break. This one will round out a full 30 years of beaver'n with them. I think 30 years is plenty, and I'm planning to retire from it at the end of 2021, for certain.....

As long as you are enjoying it, and able to do it I'd keep at it. Good luck with the 21' season

The fear of change in one way or another if you never change then things remain the same.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I'm wondering if it has another year in it. Today it turned 696,000 miles.

The satisfaction that comes from knowing that you make a difference.
Hard to walk away from.
Especially if you have to wonder if anyone else can do it as well.

I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. O Lord please don't let me be misunderstood.

Same with me Paul. On Jan. 2, I'll have 40 years in at work. Last couple of years I told myself it's time to retire. I just keep on keeping on. 40 years is a pretty good run. It's about time......

I think that as long as you enjoy what you're doing for a living and can still do it well enough, people should just keep working. It seems like many men retire, do hardly anything, quickly develop health problems and die shortly thereafter. People need to stay active in life and especially retirement, or they die.

I hope you get to enjoy trapping for many more years.

Keith

Family tradition.
Love of it all.
You're respected and good at it.
You aim to make others happy.
You like to see a job well done.
Lifestyles are hard to walk away from.
You like water trapping...
on and on and on the reasons go.

You'll not quit until you flat can't go at it Paul.
You and I both know that brother.

Blessings,
Mark

The only thing worse than doing somthing. (Beaver trapping) is not being able to do it. You quite and it's not long and you can't.

ADDICTION. NO CURE. By now, you have it set up to your liking and you know exactly what and where you need to set. Sarge
