I was talking to my son just a bit ago about aftermarket car stereo systems. We're were talking about different components and whatnot and I opened a page and what pops up at the top of the page, an advertisement for a car stereo woofer. I did no search for stereo components. It's almost like someone is listening in. Weird.

I've never had this happen, but I keep hearing of people that do. Hmm...

Not surprised at all. Ive seen it happen quite a few times. I think now that you've noticed it you will become more aware of it. I actually just thought it was commonly know that are phones listen to us. I believe it was proven that some apps allowed our phones to watch what we are doing through our camera. Dont now if it was legal but it was happening.

That been standard practice for us for years.

Add in smart ,apaliances, TV, ect and figure out wat can be known it gets tin foil hat crazy.

If I had the cash I would restore and build on to my cabin and build a 40x60 80-100 ' away. The barn will have full kitchen, bath, school, craft, an rec area. All tecwill stay in the barn none will come into my home. All I'm missing is tha cash.

I doubt that means its not listening

Several years ago I was sitting here at my computer one evening. I was alone and had been alone for at least a week. All of a sudden the Apple Imac across the room turned on. To this day I have no idea how that happened. I jerked the plug immediately. It was like an Amityville Horror movie

My nephew was talking about computers listening in on conversations...he pulled up a bunch of videos to show us...this was one of them...

Your cell phone is recording every thing you say and sending it to your provider who then sells the info to retailers. They are also selling your travel habits because they know where you are all the time. If you go to a shopping mall or a restaurant they are recording every place you visit. If you have one of those things in your house that you command to do things, it is also selling everything you say to retailers.

All of your devices are connected one way or another, either through social media, e-mails, etc. and the internet communicates between them all the time. If you have an iPhone it is literally listening all the time. All you gotta do is say “hey Siri” and it will respond “what can I help you with?” Now tell me how it could do that, from across the room, if it wasn’t always listening. My wife asks hers questions all the time, she doesn’t even have to pick it up. She can just say hey Siri, call my mom, and the dang thing does it.
