Cut out caffeine. It takes about 2-3 weeks for your system to flush out and for it to start working. Try it before you doubt me.
Everyone thinks I'm crazy but if I drink a McDonalds coffee in the morning. I'll fall asleep just fine later that night and wake up four hours later every time.
Everyone says I can drink coffee and go to bed and fall asleep fine. I can too... I just wake up four hours later like I just had the best nap of my life.
Caffeine effects different people differently and they don't really understand it. Google people ODing on caffiene. However much is fine for one person and kills the next person.
Seriously just try it. What can it hurt. But if you fall of the wagon and then don't sleep well a couple days later be honest with yourself that you didn't truly cut it out. I find your results to be pretty accurate with my experience also. I like coffee and I can drink to much of it and to late in the day at times. My findings are inline with your results also. I do fairly well thou sleeping. I go to bed about 900 to 930 and wake up about 430 to 530. So, it is a 7 to 8 hour sleep and I don't get up at night to pee which is a great thing. Lol

You’ve got a lot on your mind right now.
It happens to me when I have concerns about my work.
Take care of those things you can in the day, Try not to think ahead. One step at a time. convince yourself you’ve done good at the end of the day. Ask Christ in prayer before be to slow your mind and still the waters of the storm. Have faith in Him.
This too shall pass

I don’t sleep well because I’m thinking about that next mornings cup of coffee it’s a vicious cycle either way, I’ll risk the coffee. LOL

Think about all the traps you have set out and what each is going to catch, think about making new sets-run your line in your mind-like the old farmer counting his sheep to help him sleep. Running all the bad "what ifs"thru your mind at night is what is keeping you from sleeping.
Like an old Cree hunter told me once-"Moose hunting is good.Thinking about moose hunting is good" I try to live by sage advice like that.

I had a problem being tired all the time. The doc. recommended I have a sleep study done. Found out I stop breathing 60 times a night any where from 10 sec to 2 minutes. I now have a routine I follow. Shower and go to bed at 10:30. Take 3 ibuprofen. Put on the By-pack, a machine that blow air in my lung when I stop breathing. I still have to get up 2 times a night to take a wiz. But other wise I sleep all night. I would like to keep the room dark and the T.V. off but the wife likes to have some light on. I find that I sleep later now that the sun comes up later and we are not going out because of the virus.

I said I hadn't slept in 40 yrs. I went to a Dr and told him, I just cant sleep. On a good night maybe 3 hrs a night. I have never taken a nap either because I would never fall asleep. The Dr prescribed 10 MG Temazepam and 100 mg Seroquel. The Temazepam puts me to sleep and Seroquel keeps me a sleep. Now I get 5 to 6 hrs of good sleep. I wake up well rested. I wish I would have told a Dr about my sleep 50 yrs ago. I have been taking the same meds for 10 yrs and will continue taking them.
