“Shipped from our warehouse in the USA” is a red flag for me.
I try, absolutely, not to buy chinese. I'm making it my lifes mission. Nor islamist. Why support those who want us dead? HT; I've found, if ye read the small print? " With a proud history of making stuff since the 1800's, we continue to design top quality ..... " Blah, blah, blah! Dig. Email them and flat out ask them! " Where is this Made, please? " They either admit; China. Or ignore ye question; China! I wanted a spoon, recently. Yes. You read that right. A Spoon. Searched high and low. $3.00, in town. Guess where from? Actually found one on ebay. In USA. Second hand. Originally made in India. $20.00. It's in my kitchen! I've found Italy makes some pots and pans to die for ~ suitably priced! But. we're talking heirloom quality stuff. Best of all though is this cute little pot that was here when I bought the place. I liked it and stashed it away. Fifteen years later, I need a little pot and drag it out. Give it its first cleaning in lawd knows. Spot this etched emblem on the bottom. What are these weird markings? Surely, not back in those days?! Rub, rub, scrub. Peer ..... What does that say?! " Made In USA " Another keeper!

Hard to do, but I make the effort and am glad to do it. I spent the last part of military career working on warplans to fight those guys. Bottom line, I don't want to fund a single round for their AKs. Sometimes you've gotta pay double, triple, maybe more for a made in USA product, but I do it. And smile.

Parts were made elsewhere, assembled here As well as Harley Davidson's motorcycles.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I have no problem with foreign ownership in the US but the Chinese should not be allowed to own anything in the US. They are communists, like getting in bed with devil. You're right. How about that 180,000 acres they bought in the SW. America should not let them build on that land. It will only add to America's downfall for sure

What our country needs to do is encourage businesses to make & assemble products here, or in Mexico, instead of china. Make Mexico the new china, we would be better off

I have been doing this for some time now. If I see CHINA on an item it gets put down.
Unfortunately it is hard to do sometimes. Simply because they own so much no one else makes the product. I think I succeed about 80% of the time.
Smithfield is owned by them. Took me a year or two of talking to my family members but they all buy locally grown beef and pork now. I laugh when they mention how much better it is.
Raising our own gardens is a simple fun way to help also. What I can't raise, I get at the local farmers market, or get from the Amish. Which in the end may be the best way to save a penny and not buy foreign. Depends on the time of year as to whether it is as good or not.
Of course eating wild game is another part of it.
Amazing how simple we can live if we put our minds to it. X2
Till that day.....
