Dad and I have a Lowrance Hook 7 and Hook Reveal on our boat. The Reveal transducer on the trolling motor and the Hook 7 transducer on the back at the motor. Running both on CHIRP. But, we have a lot of noise on both. If we only run one the noise goes away on the other. We want to be able to see out ice jigs at 80-90 feet. Sometimes we can. I've been reading you can't run both on the same frequency. Or can you run both off the same tranducer if possible. Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this matter? Any tips? On the other hand, we've met at guy at the lake that does some work for Garmin. He has the junkiest 90's model boat, but the best Garmin electronics. Two 17inch screen finders. He loads the boat most every day he fishes. I believe Garmin gives him the equipment, he tests, maps the lake, and reports back. If you want to find fish, you look for his boat on the lake. But, if anyone has any tips, questions, or pointers on any and all fish finders feel free to post.

I’ve tried running front and back units so my clients have something to watch up front. It does not work unless the units are on different frequency.

A side note. I wish someone would come out with an affordable sister screen for fly in trips. Plugs into mine but sits up front. I’d like clients to see what I am seeing but have no controls on theirs. It would be great for kids trips as well.

So long as it has the fish symbols I'm happy. We turn fish symbols-OFF. Manual sensitivity-around 82%. I beleive the lowrances we have are good enough to do what we want to see. We just have to learn to correctly to use them.

.We were on the lake befeore day light today. I beleive you have to learn to trust the finders though. Started out using only the reveal. Very clear and I could see my lures go down to around 70 ft. We found the bait fish. Later on I turned on the Hook7. Put the freq to 83kz and could realy see both our lures pretty much where ever. I believe the difference between the two finders were the way the bottom was viewed. We never caught a fish, but maybe they were not biting????
