JP which way were those fisher facing ? They must have been running out of Minnesota cause none of those guys could catch any if their life depended on it.
Good catch on those marten eating.
By the way I see some fleas, they are quite out in the open, I didn’t see any fleas on them. Surprised me. If you’re looking at those white specks on the fur it’s salt. I was salting a deer cape yesterday.

Around here it is a Polish dish. 50 years ago a friend ran this place:

The company was founded in 1952 by Ted Twardzik.[6][7] They make 14 varieties of pierogies and produce over 500 million pierogies per year.[6] In the full sized pieorgie, the varieties include; 4 Cheese Medley, 5 Cheese Pizza, American Cheese, Broccoli & Aged Chedder, Classic Cheddar, Classic Onion, Feta & Spinach, Garlic & Parmesan, Jalapeno & Sharp Cheddar, Loaded Baked Potato, Savory 5 Cheese Blend, Sour Cream and Chive, and, Traditional Sauerkraut.[8]
The company promotes the Great Pierogi Race at home games of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Funky thing about those fisher. The ones I have caught smell a bit of wolverine. We do have a yearly limit of one fisher, they are a relatively recent addition to our mainland SEAk area.
The pierogi i know, and we eat has potatoes and cheese in the dumpling, served with caramelized onions with yogurt or sour cream over top. Never smelled a Wolverine before so I’ll take your word for it. We also make them with potato and cheese as well. We bought 14lbs of cottage cheese from a farm and made a ton of perogies with it. Cottage cheese are our favourite.

The fleas are on the dinner plate, they must have jumped off and stuck to the perogies and the oils stuck them there, oh well they are history now

Nice action on the fishers!! They are one of the coolest looking NA furbeaers. We'll never have them, they need actual forests and northern ones at that. We're lucky to have tree squirrels. The Black Hills out in western SD has some marten, maybe some fishers will ditty mount across the plains to join them someday, never can tell.
No real culture of perogies here, not enough eastern Euro ancestry people.Norskies don't really stuff things, except whatever they put on the inside of a lefse. A couple of my aunts, who grew up speaking German has their first language, used to make "cheese pockets" and "fleisch kniflah" which are both sort of like perogies. Maybe I should learn the recipes someday. I like eating big pieces of meat and less flour-dominated things. And whole pieces of fruits. I had an order of perogies at the Peace Gardens the only time I visited that place. Does that count...? Don't tell the fishers in North Dakota they need forests to survive.

Don't tell the fishers in North Dakota they need forests to survive. Steven 49er- And where are those Nodak fishers found, the Pembina escarpment and the Turtle Mountains...? Nothing like that around here, and certainly no porky-pigs. Maybe parts of Roberts and Marshall Counties in ne SD and the Black Hills could support fishers (the Black Hills have porcupines), but for most of the state, I highly doubt it. But, I could be wrong, we'll see.
