I'm looking to get a compact, light weight, durable shovel that I can attach to my machines...1 that won't scratch or tear up the machine. Any thoughts?

I see 1 like this even comes with a saw.

I don't know as a plastic one would be durable enough, but I don't want 1 that'll tear or scratch up my machine. As for anchoring, a bungie strap(s) come to mind.

This is what I use on my sled, you can pack it in a back pack or on the sled somewhere too.

Most all come with a saw in the handle.

I just carry a regular shovel in the sled behind me. Be sure to wax it so snow doesn't stick.

The one you linked to will probably work but I somehow can't imagine working a sled enough to get stuck but never getting a scratch . I know I have been thankful for flexible windshields a few times. All of mine are laced together with wire and duct tape.

Heck throw in a pair of vise grips and you can conquer the world.

One other thing you might consider. Snowshoes will work pretty well as a shovel in a pinch

Short handled trenching or track shovel (for the heavy construction folk). Wood handled so not brittle in cold.
Narrow enough to dig out packed snow from under a high-centered atv or sxs, or dig out in front of wheels for
traction. Short enough to stash or swing as a weapon. Can be used as walking stick.

I got a ski doo shovel for a Christmas gift years back, it's a awesome shovel and handle has saw that slides into the shovel. That saw is a animal for clearing trail .
I'm sure it was expensive but it was a gift, I've had it over ten years an has had up very well.

Let me sugar coat this

If you're just shovelling snow get an aluminum snow shovel with a wooden handle.
Plastic busts in the cold.Might be OK where you are.

The canvas bag idea might be a solution.
