How much does a short ton weigh? 2000..... long story tore a watertower down north of minneapolis..... i called around got prices ... everyone was 75 a ton unprepared one guy was 85 so i sent it to im... went to get check... and got 75 a ton i complained old jew came out of his office and said i quted long ton price... long ton 2250....lol

I guess what they mean by "long" ton is a metric ton. Its typically spelled "tonne" in a formal but I suspect that the "owner" wanted that shade on his quote...

I got $2.42 for #1 copper, 2.22 for #2. Sold it for that. Aluminum cans are only at .35 and scrap aluminum is at .30. I'll hang onto my aluminum for a better price.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.
