EdP trapper E Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 3,869 meadowview, Virginia	I'll be interested in seeing what others say, but here is my input. I like the BDC reticles rather than making turret adjustments. At 66, I can't see the turret graduation markings without my reading glasses so turret adjustments don't work for me. The BDC reticle subtensions are right there in the scope and in most cases give me hold-overs out to ranges where the bullet still has adequate energy for a quick and ethical kill on big game. That range is typically 500 -700 yds and beyond that I don't really care. My marksmanship is adequate to successfully shoot further on steel, and I could take the time to put on/take off reading glasses in that application, but that's not what I care about.
