Law Dog trapper Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 34,879 Central, SD	I had a nice one that got stinky “ I cut a pod” scraped off and trimmed it up the best I could the hung it in the shed to dry it’s good enough to send in to get tanned. Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that! Jerry Herbst

forestman3 trapper F Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,865 Huntingdon Co. Pa.	If they stink real bad I tie a rope to the front foot and put it in a creek where their is fast moving water for a day and then skin and wash in the peroxide solution.

I have used the peroxide baking soda bath several time on the dogs and it works great. I like the cold stream idea because I'd rather not bring them back to the house until they are somewhat cleaned. My wife and neighbors are more sensitive than I am!
