I have a .220 swift B model in the gunroom from 1996. Still hasn’t been fired.

Mine is a 7mm Rem mag. I agree with Outlaw that there are better rifles to pack up and over the mountain.

I have a Ruger #1 B in .300 WIn. Mag. that is probably my favorite rifle. Quite a number of deer have fallen to it. Bought it originally for a caribou hunt (at least that's the justification for it that I told my wife) that I went on with my dad back in 2000, unfortunately neither of us ever got a caribou as we missed the migration. Great rifle!

I've used a ruger no1 rechamberd to 505gibbs, lol not for the weak of heart. But an awesome gun. And ya they made em in 264win mag. Personally I liked rimmed cartridges for single shot rifles for more positive extractions but iv been told it doesn't matter with the rugers extractor system.

Ruger #1-V .22-250w/ Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20X... sold it 25 years ago and wish I had it back. It was the only dedicated varmint gun I've ever had, everything else has been "dual purpose", like my Rem. 700 .243.

Years back I had a deposit on one and let a gunsmith I trusted talk me out of it. "Those dang rifles are a bugger to get to shoot right"

Should have never listened to him.

One day I'll own one in 7x57.

There was a several yr run of guns that wouldn't shoot, without adding a barrel accurizer to the receiver extension with set screw and a few other tricks to tune them.

7x57 is an awesome cartridge, too!

If I buy another rifle it will likely be a winchester 1885 low wall in .243.

I have an RSI in 7x57. Nicest gun I own and likely the nicest I will ever own. The problem with 7x57 is you can’t logically justify another rifle in another caliber for North America. It does it all and it does it well. At least, that is what my wife would tell me if she knew. In the meantime I’ll have to figure out how to sneak another rifle into the closet.

I just picked up a 7mm RM 1B the other day. Getting ready to hit the range and check it out this weekend.
