our sheriffs department puts on WI hunters ed
the cost it the 12 dollars for the WI hunters ed materials but clearly the Sherriff's office is putting the labor into it for free a 12 hour course with field exam.
in WI a hunters ed certificate is all that is needed as proof of training for WI CCL you can take the class any time before application and apply on your 21 birthday for your CCL shall issue , 40 dollars for the first 5 years 22 for each additional 5
at 18 as long as you stay out of school zones you can open carry a handgun. (school zone is federal law not state)
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Here in KS you can carry however you like without asking permission. The ccl is so you can legally carry in other states.

Here in KS you can carry however you like without asking permission. The ccl is so you can legally carry in other states. Same in Missouri. I still think it is a good idea for people that are new to owning firearms to seek out any educational information they can. This program is a great resource. ol'dad

How many can make that claim? Cherokee County Kansas Attorney's office has free concealed carry classes offered to the public." The concealed carry project does not utilize any tax dollars and is funded entirely by fees collected from defendants in criminal cases and traffic cases in Cherokee county." They had classes in Nov. & Dec. and have classes in Jan. & March." While Kansas is a Constitutional Carry state, the concealed carry license allows Kansas resident's to carry their firearm in 39 states which currently recognize the Kansas license."
" Beyond interstate reciprocity, attending a concealed carry class provides citizens with a basic understanding of the laws applicable to carrying a firearm and the use of deadly force." Not many states more friendly to the 2nd than here. We can do ya one better....we don't need to take a class to get a CC permit.

If its like our hunted ed class...yes you can.
Va. didn't require a class until this year.
And you could use the hunter ed card to get the cc.

If you come to Kansas you can carry any way you want with no permit required,constitutional carry here for all legal US citizens. Can I come to PA and have the same freedom? Didn't think so.

What's the purpose of the class? Can you fail? Yes you can fail.The article states that the purpose of the class is to provide a way for Kansas citizens to carry in 39 other states and educate them on the laws of carrying a firearm and the use of deadly force.
