The first snare I set I was 5 or 6 years old and I made the snare out of black braided ice fishing line lol. I watched my older brothers making them and I found the fishing line and made my own . I caught a rabbit in that snare but it broke the line lol! My brothers couldn’t believe it! Cold as ice!

We just don't seem to have very many for the last couple years. I'm seeing more sign around the house this fall/winter, maybe the kids and i can try it before too long.
